dcode is Hiring an Executive Assistant to C-Suite (FT) Near Washington, DC

About Us:
Dcode was founded on the belief that technology can improve the way our government operates. Through our tech accelerator, government training courses, and more, we bring together a community of leaders across tech, government, industry, and venture capital to solve the government's most difficult problems.
Who You Are:
Dcode is looking for an experienced and sharp Executive Assistant to support the C-suite at our fast-growing company. In this role, you will help drive Dcode’s mission by ensuring Dcode-wide day-to-day operations are in sync, frictionless, and productive to support the company’s continued success.
You will directly support the CEO and CSO by managing their meetings, calendars, and comms, as well as prioritizing critical issues to facilitate efficient decision-making for the executive leadership team. You will act as the point of contact between the C-suite and key stakeholders.
Our ideal candidate has demonstrated extensive experience in supporting high-level executives, ideally in a fast-paced startup environment. A background in the federal government is also a bonus. You are a self-motivated problem-solver that understands cross-functional dependencies, can connect the dots, and complete complex tasks with little guidance. You will be successful in this role if you are highly organized, adaptable, and excited to take on new challenges that further Dcode’s mission by successfully managing C-suite’s priorities.
Responsibilities:
  • Schedule, manage and optimize demanding and time-sensitive schedules and communications for the CEO and CSO.
  • Stay on top of the C-suite’s priorities and keep track of short and long-term responsibilities and commitments, anticipating changes/needs and fixing them unprompted.
  • Organize, prioritize, and appropriately handle time-sensitive, confidential information/correspondence, as well as ensure the action required is addressed and C-suite is aware of any high priority actions.
  • Facilitate regular external meetings, providing necessary info to C-suite prior to any major meetings.
  • Track and consolidate reporting metrics related to revenue, business development, and growth in consultation with the senior leadership team, C-Suite, and outside financial/ technical stakeholders.
  • Arrange and coordinate travel schedules, accommodations, and trip logistics, as well as accurately track and process expenses
  • Act as the first point of contact for external clients and visitors, ensuring all are given the “Dcode hug”.
  • Help to drive culture, engagement, and growth at Dcode, as well as coordinate for quarterly company-wide meetings.
About You:
You’ll learn something new every day in this role, and no two days will look exactly the same. We’ll teach you the ropes but ideal candidates will have some skills in the following areas:
  • Professional Leadership Support: you have a minimum of 2 years of experience supporting senior executives, can effectively manage multiple work streams at once, and oversee complex schedules.
  • Informed Decision-Maker: you fully understand and anticipate C-suite’s needs, planning ahead and being resourceful. You can quickly absorb information and use this knowledge to be the go-to resource for general requests and questions on behalf of leadership.
  • High Attention to Detail: you ensure all prepared materials, including agendas, documents, and presentations, are complete and accurate, as well as handle confidential information with care and confidence.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: you have strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly present ideas and updates to different stakeholders.
  • Tech-Friendly: previous experience with Google Suite, Zoom, Slack and other tech apps are a must.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: you are unafraid to offer suggestions, seek others’ perspectives, and make improvements to processes to improve our business. bonus if you have prior experience and/or a strong interest in technology, startups, or federal government.
  • Team Player: you are excited to collaborate with a diverse group of Dcoders to efficiently complete cross-functional initiatives
