Job Overview
This position is responsible for equipment sales, including but not limited to, used tractors, trailers, and other similar/related support equipment.
What will you enjoy doing (duties/tasks)
Effectively manage DB Schenker used tractor, trailer and support equipment sales
Effectively implement and manage a robust equipment sales website to house and advertise all equipment designated for sale/removal/disposal
Partner with leadership to identify equipment for sale/removal/disposal
Partner with Operations to optimally route equipment to DB Schenker sales facilities
Maintain accurate reporting and record keeping over all equipment managed through the sales/removal/disposal process
Monitor and recommend economic lives and salvage values for revenue equipment fleet on an ongoing basis; ensure that NBVs are at the proper level at sale/trade time
Review the coming year’s sale/trade assets and recommend changes accordingly during annual business planning process
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested
What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)
High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
3 years of large equipment sales experience
3 years of transportation industry experience
2 years of inventory control management
Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Project management experience
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a minimum of 75% of the time
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machines
Occasionally ascends/descends stairs
Constantly positions self in work environment
On occasion will move up to 20 pounds of office objects
Works in an indoor office environment but expected to attend meetings in adjacent buildings requiring travel in outdoor weather conditions. We are an equal opportunity employer.
