Dayton Freight is Hiring an Accounts Payable Administrator Near Dayton, OH
Overview
The Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for issuing accounts payable checks, processing EFT payments and assisting with other accounts payable functions.
Responsibilities
- Enter and process IT invoices, tax payments and check requests accurately and timely
- Generate weekly check runs for the company
- Review payment reports for accuracy
- Generate Electronic Fund Transfers payments for the company
- Maintain weekly distribution spreadsheet of all payments made from the company
- Ensure invoices for online payments are entered into the accounting system and filed timely to be cleared
- Work with the 3rd party utility vendor to ensure new services and changes to existing services are communicated and completed timely
- Maintain current required procedures
- AP Closing preparation; work with Financial Accounting to resolve open items
- Effectively handle special assignments as directed in a timely manner
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in Oracle AP (preferred)
- Associate’s degree from an accredited institution in Accounting is preferred
- 3 years experience in Accounts Payable or Accounting
- Demonstrate high levels of professionalism, sound judgement, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Evidence of strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create a positive work environment.
- Navigate and operate efficiently within a large ERP, such as Oracle Cloud
