    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • High School diploma required (minimum).
    • Typing skills minimum 60 words per minute preferred.
    • Notary Public or willingness to become a notary.
    • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of standard office equipment.
    • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Synergy, and a willingness to be trained in other programs, as needed.
    • Able to compose written text using proper grammar, spelling and punctuation.
    • Understands importance of accuracy in work.
    • Must exhibit good telephone etiquette.
    • Fundamental mathematics skills necessary.
    • Maintains confidentiality regarding students and staff.
    • Must be neat and well groomed.
    • Must be dependable and have excellent attendance.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences both verbally and in writing.
    • Is able to get along well with a wide variety of people and work as a team player.
    • Is able to be self-directive in organizing and accomplishing office work priorities.

    DUTIES:
    • Performs usual office routines.
    • Maintains student attendance and discipline records (input, verification, prepares weekly online health reports).
    • Assigns and maintains student lockers, chromebooks, student book/technology fines.
    • Along with Assistant Principal, organizes club schedules, teacher stipends, and after-school parties.
    • Assists Assistant Principal in communicating and executing safety drills.
    • Assists administrators with set up and materials for standardized testing.
    • Prepares and communicates daily announcements.
    • Prepares and communicates birthday lists.
    • Assist in being a Point of Contact for guest teachers.
    • Maintains and balances student activity accounts and building budgets.
    • Prepares nightly deposits.
    • Inventories and organizes supplies, textbooks and orders.
    • Completes monthly sales tax report.
    • Prepares Student of the Month write-ups, certificates and other student recognitions.
    • Prepares written materials as needed.
    • Helps to handle sick and injured students (CPR certified) and serves on the Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT).
    • Receives incoming calls and takes accurate messages.
    • Composes and types necessary correspondence.
    • Greets parents and visitors to building.
    • In the absence of the assistant principal, is capable of handling situations that arise in a calm and professional manner.
    • Helps with major middle school functions, including evening events.
    • Helps coordinate necessary building mailings/correspondence.
    • Coordinates and maintains administrator calendar and scheduling of activities.
    • Trains and helps supervise office co-op students.
    • Troubleshoots XEROX machine/fax machine.
    • Other duties as assigned.
