    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • High School diploma required (minimum).
    • Must possess strong math and grammar skills
    • Must exhibit good telephone etiquette, customer service and professional judgment.
    • Notary Public or willingness to become a notary.
    • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Synergy, Google and a willingness to be trained in other programs, as needed.
    • Able to compose written text using proper grammar, spelling and punctuation.
    • Understands importance of accuracy in work.
    • Maintains confidentiality regarding students and staff.
    • Must be neat, well groomed and professional in appearance.
    • Must be dependable and have excellent attendance.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences both verbally and in writing.
    • Is able to get along well with a wide variety of people and work as a team player.
    • Is able to be self-directive in organizing and accomplishing office work priorities.
    • Can remain relaxed and clear-thinking under stress.
    • Exhibits emotional stability and physical stamina necessary for meeting the requirements of the position.
    • Certified or willing to become certified in basic first aid/CPR/AED.
    DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
    • Performs usual office routines.
    • Helps to update and maintain student records, including behavior, medical, etc.
    • Serves as point of contact for guest teachers.
    • Participates as a member of the building's Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT).
    • Receives incoming calls and takes accurate messages.
    • Greets parents and visitors to building in a positive manner and provides guidance for their requests.
    • In the absence of the assistant principal, is capable of handling situations that arise in a calm and professional manner and keeps assistant principal and/or principal informed.
    • Helps coordinate major high school functions, programs, and assemblies.
    • Helps coordinate necessary building mailings/correspondence.
    • Coordinates and maintains administrator calendar and scheduling of activities.
    • Trains and supervises Assistant Principal's Office Co-Op student.
    • Follows all protocols for administration of medication for students.
    • Provides updates for building website.
    • Assists supervisor with preparation and delivery of building level testing, i.e. PSAT, SAT, NMSQT, NWEA.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    SALARY: Per the DESA Master Agreement, Level 2
