Job Title: Service Manager- FT Greensboro, North Carolina

Company Overview: We are a leading manufacturer of laminating and coating machinery, providing innovative solutions for various industries including printed circuit board, wood-based products, insulation boards, plastic cards, glass products, and photovoltaic technologies. With headquarters near the Black Forest in Germany, Burkle has established its North American master distribution, sales, parts, and service operation in Greensboro. Our Greensboro location also serves as our innovation center and showroom, showcasing our cutting-edge technologies.

Job Description:

As the Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the satisfaction and success of our customers in the North American market. You will be responsible for leading and managing our service operations, providing exceptional support to our customers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our service department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of service technicians and support staff to deliver high-quality service and support to our customers.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the service department.
  • Service Operations Management:
  • Oversee all aspects of service operations, including service scheduling, resource allocation, and technical support to ensure timely and effective resolution of customer issues.
  • Develop and implement service strategies and processes to optimize service delivery and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring that our service offerings meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalated service issues, working closely with customers to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in laminating and coating technologies and provide technical guidance and support to service technicians as needed.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to identify and address product issues and drive product improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency gains within the service department, and lead initiatives to implement best practices and standardize processes.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track service performance and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a technical service environment, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong technical background with experience in machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team, driving results and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive change initiatives.
  • Flexibility to travel to customer sites and attend training sessions or conferences as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $1,100,000.00 per year
