RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Prepare and execute equipment and material loadouts for blasting and coatings jobs.
• Responsible for the technical execution of coating projects and provide reports to upper management.
• Manages customer relationship and reporting to assigned projects.
• Visit offshore jobs on a frequent basis to ensure adherence to safety, scope of work, and schedule. Also maintain customer relations offshore.
• Responsible for trouble-shooting any technical issues that may arise on coating projects.
• Work closely with Field Superintendents to evaluate coatings personnel skill set and abilities and provide feedback to upper management.
• Assist in bidding and estimating by conducting material take-offs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Directly manages foreman and relief foreman assigned to projects.
• Indirectly manages Job Costs clerk responsible to assigned project, materials and logistic coordinator, and personnel coordinator; as well as functions of their positions to ensure timely and accurate project requirements are met.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience:

Associate’s Degree or related course work from a four-year college. 7 – 10 years of blasting and painting experience (preferably offshore). Must have intricate working knowledge of basting / painting application equipment and related quality control instruments.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, coating specifications, product data sheets, MSDS, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Basic knowledge of reading and understanding blue prints (able to generate estimated material needs from drawings). Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability :

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Internet software, Inventory software, and Project Management software. Proficiency in Spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel) and Word Processing software (Microsoft Word) is highly desirable.
