- Approaches all responsibilities with the mindset that ensures safety is built into every process task, factoring ergonomics, environmental and hazard elimination into the work steps of the team and themselves.
- Understand their ability to directly increase overall product quality and integrity, while ensuring that process and product waste are driven to elimination through their skill and intervention.
- Examining machines and equipment both mechanically and electrically in order to diagnose source of problem.
- Maintains a “continuous improvement” mind set when working on equipment, always looking for a better, safer, way, and communicating best practices to leadership.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits 24vdc to 480 vac, using a multimeter, schematics and proper PPE. Basic knowledge of power supplies, inverters, photo eyes, proximity switches, etc required
- Install motors 24dc to 480vac three phase.
- Dismantling or partially dismantling machines and performing repairs that mainly involve the use of hand tools in scraping and fitting parts.
- Replacing broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock after solid analytical troubleshooting has been completed.
- Reassembling machines and making necessary adjustments for safe and efficient operation.
- Fabricate, install, and /or repair piping of various sizes and material of construction, i.e., PVC, carbon steel, stainless, poly tubing, etc.
- Capability of welding in both MIG and SMAW processes.
- Continuously reviewing their respective area for ideas and thoughts that will drive productivity and reduce costs within the organization, and be capable to professionally communicating their solution for improvement.
- Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance procedures.
- Informs supervisor of operational status of equipment and notifies of any problem areas.
- Follows LOTO procedures, JHA’s and Standard Operating Procedures, as well as looks for continuous improvement in the process task.
