This position will manage the transportation department within an assigned region and provide overall leadership to team members. The Operations Supervisor provides leadership, motivation, and assists with oversight of all day-to-day activities within the facility, including, but not limited to, safety, training, facility compliance, receiving, shipping, and document control.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee all processing operations in conjunction with warehouse lead.
• Manage and oversee all transportation operations in conjunction with Dispatch.
• Ensure supplies set for deliveries and routes are staged and available. Work with Operations, Sales and Hospital teams to accomplish daily deliveries and urgent customer requests/service.
• Coordinating the Repair and maintenance of the fleet and equipment.
• Responsible for discarding and recording and unrepairable equipment so proper inventory adjustments can be made.
• Perform routine quality control checks on sharps washing machines / containers to ensure sanitation protocols are being met.
• Identify, measure, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
• Work with Dispatch and sales to make sure all new customers are set up in a timely manner. • Follow up with any missed stops and help coordinate with the customer on a new pickup.
• Coordinate project/purges with Dispatch and management.
• Manages State permits and renewals.
• Ensures continual improvements of productivity standards and worker safety in all phases of the plant operations.
• Manage and oversee the hiring, Scheduling and Disciplinary action of Employees.
• Coordinate and schedule safety meetings with staff.
• Maintain Budget and P&L
• Maintain industry knowledge to keep up with changing regulations, requirements and changes within all regulatory agencies (i.e. DOT, DEQ, EPA, TJC, etc.) • Manage and oversee the fleet management system (HOS, Safety videos, and coaching) • Serve as a backup driver only when needed.

• Experience in Transportation Management in a fast-paced JIT environment
• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office
• Individual must be able to plan, schedule, prioritize and adapt to changes while remaining organized and dedicated to the goals of organization.
• Communicate effectively with all staff levels, customers, auditors, and regulatory personnel. Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or appropriate combination of education and experience.
• Knowledgeable in all areas of Regulated Medical Waste, Pharmaceutical Waste, Hazardous Waste, Universal Waste, Municipal Solid Waste / Recycling
• Experience: Management: 3-5 years (Required)
