As the Academic Affairs Director and serving as the Deputy to the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs, Research, and Innovation at Baruch College, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic landscape and ensuring operational excellence in academic personnel administration. In this role, your leadership, attention to detail, and collaborative approach will be instrumental in driving academic excellence and operational efficiency at Baruch College.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Development and Implementation of Operating Policies: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive operating policies and procedures governing academic personnel administration, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and best practices.

Workload Management: Oversee all activities related to workload management for our full-time faculty, including the meticulous monitoring of 3-year workload summaries to optimize resource allocation and support faculty development.

Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement, University bylaws, and Baruch College guidelines. Collaborating with the Legal/Labor Designee, you will ensure adherence to legal standards and institutional policies.

Administrative Management: Serving as the senior administrative support for the College-wide Personnel & Budget (P&B) Committee, oversee the coordination of meetings, external review processes, and candidate material reviews, ensuring the efficient operation of the committee.

Committee Appointment Management: Manage committee appointment terms for various college committees, including P&B, SARC, CARC, Joint Committee on Research, Independent Units & Library P&B committee, and Department Chairs appointments, ensuring diversity and effectiveness in committee composition.

Technology Oversight: Oversee technology use, data updates, and training for all users in essential systems such as CUNYfirst, ePAF, and Faculty Information Systems (Interfolio), driving efficiency and accuracy in personnel actions.

Faculty Information Systems Administration: As the senior administrator of the Faculty Information Systems, track faculty scholarly activities and dossiers, facilitating faculty personnel actions and coordinating training for school-level administrators.

Information Management: Respond to information requests from key stakeholders, including the Provost Office, Human Resources, Budget Office, and Legal/Labor Relations, providing accurate and timely information on personnel, workload, and compensation matters.

Collaborative Consultation: Partner with the Office of Human Resources and Legal Counsel & Labor Designee on matters pertaining to personnel actions, settlement agreements, grievances, and other faculty and staff issues, ensuring resolution of discrepancies and alignment with legal standards.

Staff Supervision: Provide oversight and supervision of professional and support staff, establishing clear goals and learning opportunities to support accuracy and timely completion of assigned duties.

Reporting Management: Manage the production and distribution of reports across all areas of responsibility, providing insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making.

Serves as the lead administrator on immigration matters and serves as the liaison for Office of Academic Affairs with the immigration law firm to support the onboarding of international faculty.

Manage the personnel process for part-time instructional personnel actions.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

Bachelor's Degree and eight years' relevant experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Significant experience with faculty workload management, CUNYFirst, and Baruch academic personnel policies required

- Liaisons with faculty and professional staff in departments and offices across the College

- Manages operational and program budgets; manages, trains, and develops staff

- Performs related duties as assigned.

**COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS**

Salary range: $119,995 - $129,310; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
