CSI Recruiting is Hiring an Accounts Payable Supervisor Near Midland, TX
Requirements
- Train and mentor staff in proper recording and handling of vendor invoices/payments.
- Oversees daily workflow and projects for team.
- Management of all vendor invoices and supporting documentation to ensure proper coding to G/L accounts, AFEs and cost centers.
- Become the subject matter expert in invoice and payment processing and annual 1099 reporting.
- Prepare monthly expense accrual journal entries and analysis.
- Manage corporate credit card, T&E, and fuel card process.
- Supports the team by performing ongoing problem analysis and resolution.
- Ensure all escalated inquiries are responded to and resolved within a timely manner.
- Maintain and enhance SOX-appropriate control environment.
- Consistently apply accounting policies and procedures related to accounts payable.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for efficiencies and process improvements.
- Flexible to meet the changing needs of the business and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments.
- Ensure best-in-class customer service to all internal customers and external vendors.
- Compile and deliver documentation/information required for internal and external audits and reviews as required.
- Review, investigate and resolve discrepancies and irregularities as they arise.
- Familiarize oneself with the company’s legal entities and overall business.
- Strong accounts payable experience with a minimum of 5 years processing high volume accounts payable.
- Ability to trouble-shoot vendor issues and walk issues through to completion.
- Strong analytical skills – ability to identify and question inaccurate or inconsistent information.
- Exceptional productivity skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- A confident self-starter with little need for close management supervision and direction.
- High school degree or GED equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Oil & Gas industry experience strongly preferred
