CSI Recruiting is Hiring a Senior Operations Accountant Near Fort Worth, TX
CSI Recruiting is working with a leading upstream (E&P) company on their immediate need for an experienced Operations Accountant. The firm has over $1B of producing assets in Texas and is focused on the optimization, operations and production of thousands of wells, and this Operations Accountant role is key to the efficient operation of that business. This role will be involved in discussions around expenses, managing LOE, revenue projections and health of the business at all levels, from the field leadership to the C-level executives.
On a daily basis, you'll work hand-in-hand with the operations team, while also delivering monthly accruals, LOE reports and 'budget to actual' reviews. You'll be asked to provide critical thinking and problem solving abilities to the role, offer new ideas to solve old problems and create efficiencies where possible. You'll be invited to create opportunities to make the business better as well as given clear directives on projects needing your attention. It's a dynamic role for a dynamic person, with the opportunity to learn and grow your career immensely. Also, there is availability to work a 50 /50 hybrid schedule.
Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monthly Operated Upstream LOE Accrual
- Monthly Midstream OPEX Accrual
- Monthly Expense variance and flux analysis
- Monthly presentations to operations on revenue & expense analysis (upstream and midstream)
- Monthly presentations to Ops leadership on full financial statements
- Budget to actual reporting and collaborative review with Ops
- Collaboration with Ops and Engineering to supply project-based info and analysis
KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Accounting, finance, or a related discipline strongly preferred.
- Viable candidates will likely have 4-10 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the oil and natural gas industry or a related field.
- Knowledge of the oil and gas industry, including regulatory requirements, trends, emerging issues and operating processes strongly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced knowledge of compliance laws and regulatory requirements and US GAAP accounting standards.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, accounting software, spreadsheets, and other financial tools and technologies.Experience with Enertia, P2 Merrick, and Power BI is a plus.
