The Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new and existing catering accounts through direct outside sales calls, telemarketing and referrals and to ensure all revenue goals (such as food, beverage and room rentals) are achieved or exceeded. The right candidate has a strong sales background, previous exposure to the Hospitality industry, and a go-getter mentality with the hunger to always increase sales. This position analyzes local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business.
The Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for developing strong working relationships with prospective clients in an effort to ensure that all event details such as menus, wines, bar, room set-up arrangements, audio visual and other needs exceed the clients' expectations. This position requires a somewhat flexible schedule with occasional weekend work during their scheduled events. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with new and long-standing clients.
