The Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new and existing catering accounts through direct outside sales calls, telemarketing and referrals and to ensure all revenue goals (such as food, beverage and room rentals) are achieved or exceeded. The right candidate has a strong sales background, previous exposure to the Hospitality industry, and a go-getter mentality with the hunger to always increase sales. This position analyzes local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business.

The Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for developing strong working relationships with prospective clients in an effort to ensure that all event details such as menus, wines, bar, room set-up arrangements, audio visual and other needs exceed the clients' expectations. This position requires a somewhat flexible schedule with occasional weekend work during their scheduled events. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with new and long-standing clients.

Job Duties :

• Manage incoming event sales leads
• Track all leads, clients and other contacts updated in contact database
• Facilitating site tours and communication with prospective clients
• Working directly with clients and detailing their event
• Managing and handling all external event and catering inquiries
• Keep Calendar up to date with all walkthroughs, holds and event bookings
• Meets and exceeds individual and department sales quotas through adhering to existing and newly-established sales guidelines, policies, procedures, and efficient use of budget and staff.
• Creating and sending detailed and customized proposals to prospective clients
• Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply & demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
• Creates, implements and regularly updates an ongoing strategic departmental business plan, including areas of research, analysis, and action points
• Insures open and constructive working relationships with all internal departments involved in supporting the group sales department, including maintaining a strong working relationship with key opinion leaders and internal department heads.
• Handling event billing and invoicing.
• Manage presentation of facility for all sales walkthroughs
• Schedule and facilitate walkthroughs for the venue
• Produce proposals for venue rentals and event services, equipment rentals
• Do direct sales outreach at events and through direct emails to contact list as well using tools like LinkedIn and other social media to identify potential new business

Pay Frequency:

• Bi weekly or Twice monthly

Salary: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
