The Area Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing in-house technicians and external contractors as it relates to the repairs/upkeep of retail convenience store property/equipment. This position monitors the GPS system to ensure the in-house tech is efficient in routing and responding to calls, following up on external vendors, entering tickets and dispatching maintenance issues in absence of the dispatcher and being available to recieve emergency calls from the field 24/7.

Occasional travel to retail sites in Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain all aspects of maintenance repairs for retail convenience store facilities in designated territory.
• Resolves most questions and problems independently and refers the most complex issues to the Maintenance Supervisor/Operations Manager
• Review, code, and process invoices from vendors.
• Schedule and coordinate projects with field management to streamline the process.
• Obtain quotes for major repairs.
• Act as a liaison between contractors and CAP employees.

Required Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with upper management and maintenance contractors
• Knowledge of Underground Storage Tank systems and typical convenience store equipment is preferred.
• Ability to multitask large projects at one time
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, OneDrive and Monday,com (preferred)
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience
