Senior Accounting Consultant

Schedule: Ideally 4 days per week, 9:00am - 5:30pm, but if preferred schedule is 5 days/week, should communicate this to the hiring manager.

Responsibilities:

• Senior Accounting Consultant will be reviewing general ledger activity, fixed assets, etc.
• Senior Accounting Consultant will recommend the journal entries that are needed
• Senior Accounting Consultant will make sure lead schedule is tied down for the trial balance (Will be handed charts of accounts and balance sheet. Senior Accounting Consultant should be able to look at the balance sheet and the footnotes, and see that things are pretty straightforward)
• Ad hoc tasks and projects, as requested

Requirements:

• Senior Accounting Consultant should have previous experience at the Controller level - someone who has been through audits and understands what is needed, can shift their way through the balance sheet
• Previous experience utilizing Microsoft Dynamics SL is helpful but NOT required, must be able to quickly learn a new system
• Previous nonprofit accounting experience is a plus but NOT required
• Previous audit or public accounting experience to know what they have to put together OR previous experience putting together documents for audits
• Excel - Must be able to set up tables, use simple formulas, etc. (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, and/or macros are a plus)
