Job Title: Director, Social Media and Digital Advertising Department: Web Operations Location: Miami, FL Reports to: Vice President, Web Operations # of direct reports: 0 Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 Revised date: 4/25/2024 Position Overview: Best Buddies is seeking a dynamic, creative, and results driven social media and digital marketing professional to join our team. As a content creator, you will be responsible for sharing the mission of Best Buddies and creating measurable and predictable engagement, follower, and revenue growth through organic posts and paid advertising to promote our organization's mission, events, merchandise shop, and fundraising campaigns. You will be responsible for implementing a well-conceived, digital ecosystem that brings social media in alignment with the organization's overall marketing and advertising efforts. In this role, you will apply new technology, media, platforms, research, and emerging standards related to social media and digital advertising. The ideal candidate will have the ability to both create highly engaging content and setup, optimize, and report on a wide range of digital advertising campaigns. Job Requirements - Qualified applicants must have:

• Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
• 5 years of work experience managing social media and digital advertising campaigns
• Wide knowledge base of social platforms, digital advertising channels, and insight tools
• Proven track record of growing social media followers and increasing engagement across multiple platforms
• Experience shooting and editing short-form video while optimizing file formats and lengths for social media stories and reels
• Strong photography and editing skills
• Strong creative copywriting abilities and passion for crafting narratives that build an emotional connection
• Proficient using Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere
• Strategic thinker able to analyze engagement and optimize content to enhance reach
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Intermediate level of Excel (filter, formulas, pivot tables)
• Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format
• Ability to execute multiple projects on a timeline
• Customer service and marketing/sales-driven
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to travel out of state to capture content at national fundraising events (3-5 events per year)

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
Marketing and Development

• Share the mission of Best Buddies through the creation of daily programmatic and fundraising event promotional posts across multiple social networks (primarily, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
  1. Develop and execute plans to grow followers across all existing and new social media platforms
  2. Maintain a thorough understanding of the organization's programs and goals
  3. Create relationships with staff in the field to develop a pipeline of compelling content
  4. Work closely with the Communications and Email teams to deliver cohesive national and regional messaging that is shared across all messaging channels throughout the year
  5. Support Sponsorship and Development team in executing co-branded social media commitments on behalf of partners
• Collaborate within internal departments and outside agencies on results-oriented social media campaigns
• Abide by and uphold branding guidelines
• Assist with the creation, management and optimization of digital marketing campaigns that promote fundraising events, ecommerce, and other campaigns including search, social, and display ads (primarily, but not limited to, Facebook, GoogleAds, YouTube, and Instagram)
• Evaluate and present on new opportunities for social media engagement and digital advertising

Operations

• Produce at minimum 6 pieces of social media content per week for social media accounts
• Measure and report on the growth of social media follower and key engagement metrics
• Measure and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns
• Collaborate with finance staff to set and stay within campaign ad budgets
• Respond to social media direct messages and comments
• Provide support and training to social media account managers in the field
• Handle special projects relating to the above responsibilities as assigned
• Works evenings and weekends, as necessary, to complete assignments
• Travel to national fundraising events to support and document events on social media (approximately 3-5 events per year)
• Travel as needed in and around Miami, FL to support and document events on social media
• Provide weekly documentation of work
