Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Banquet Cook to join our team. As a Banquet Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food for banquets and events. Your culinary expertise, timing, and attention to detail will contribute to the overall experience at our 5-Star rated, award-winning company. Catering avenues include in-house, off-site, delivery, and pick-up, all out of our home location. Flexible schedule, currently part-time with room to grow to a Full-Time position with regular bonuses, gratuities, and a warm and uniquely welcoming environment.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for banquets, events, and special occasions
- Follow recipes and ensure adherence to food safety guidelines
- Support kitchen staff during banquet service
- Coordinate with the banquet manager to ensure smooth execution of events
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
Skills:
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques
- Proficient in food safety practices and procedures
- Experience in supervising kitchen staff
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of restaurant management principles is a plus
- Previous experience in catering or banquet operations is preferred
- Familiarity with the food industry and current trends in food preparation
