Company DescriptionIndustry-leading casting operation in the western suburbs of Chicago offering highly competitive compensation packages and built-in career growth potential.Job DescriptionPrincipal Sales EngineerThis role will start as a Sales Engineer with the goal of moving into the Sales Manager within 3-5 years, as the current Sales Manager is nearing retirement. Further growth within Operations in the company is a possibility in the future, as well.ResponsibilitiesManage midwestern and eastern accounts.Solicit new clients through calls and site visits.Work with existing clients to improve service, and offer latest solutions and products. Provide technical support.Follow sales projects from start to finish, coordinating with manufacturing and engineering to ensure products are meeting customer specifications and OTD.Work with clients and engineers to solve problems, and ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.Work to resolve dimensioning and tolerancing problems.Market products and services online, and help to build the company's online presence.Concentration will be on existing products, but also consider new products and applications.Understand and interpret blue prints, technical drawings and 2D and 3D CAD renderings.Perform sales forecasting and budgeting.Develop sales strategies to ensure sales targets are met.QualificationsBS/BA in Business Administration, Sales, Engineering or other similar 4 year degree. 3-10 years of experience in technical sales. MBA preferred, but not necessary. 3-5 years of experience in sales leadership roles preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to understand and interpret blue prints, technical drawings and CAD renderings. (SolidWorks preferred). Project Management experience. Exemplary communication skills. Available for travel up to 30%.
