- Ensure each team member completes job performance standards to appropriate codes and customer satisfaction. Advise on any areas needing improvement and assist in needed training and development. Inspire technicians to hit their goals.
- Responsible to conduct weekly training sessions on the Service System customer service process and ensure that all Service System standards are adhered to by the team.
- Complete weekly truck inspections and audits of paperwork and service call checklists.
- Ensure the team manages appropriate inventory of parts required for service calls.
- Coordinate with customer service and dispatch to ensure appropriate job objectives are met effectively and completely.
- Support field technicians on troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Accountable for team performance and progress toward company goals.
- Responsible for the interview and selection process of team leads, technicians and apprentice candidates. Assist with recruiting, hiring and development of all field staff.
- Manage operational metrics including average invoice total, callback ratios and labor margins.
- Make sure incentive programs are equitable and properly documented.
- Train, coach and mentor team leads, technicians and apprentices.
- Investigate any reported safety issues.
- Resolve any issues involving missing and/or damaged tools and any vehicle malfunction.
- Ability to inspire and lead others to attain company goals.
- Highly organized with good attention to detail and exceptional follow-through abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Ability to coach and build a cohesive team environment where everyone understands their goals and how to win.
- Ability to build trust and demonstration empathy.
- Quick, sound decision-making and able to excel in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
- Great presentation and public speaking skills are a plus.
- Previous experience as a technician is preferred.
- Previous management experience preferred.
- A valid driver’s license, and approved to drive by Company’s insurance carrier.
- Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS.
