Hotel & Position Summary

Aquila Lodging has recently purchased the Courtyard Austin University Area. We are about to embark on a $4 million renovation. We are looking for an Assistant General Manager to join our team. This property will have 195 guest rooms and 3000 square feet of meeting space. We are looking for an individual with a passion for hospitality. Your number one priority is to take care of the guests and take care of the business. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for the success of the Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Engineering, for ensuring guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met, and for managing all areas of the hotel according to Brand standards to achieve a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service and product quality.

Essential Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage services
• Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction\
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize occupancy rates and revenue
• Manage budgets and financial performance of the hotel
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff members
• Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely manner
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and employees
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
• Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel management as an AGM or a department head.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Excellent guest service skills with a focus on exceeding expectations
• Knowledge of hospitality industry trends and best practices
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in multilingual communication is a plus
• Marriott Systems preferred (Fosse, GXP, etc)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed
