COUNTRY INN & SUITES is Hiring a General Manager Near Savannah, GA

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, hotel, or catering establishment

Experience:

- Previous experience as a General Manager or Assistant Manager in the food service industry
- Strong knowledge of food production, coffee preparation, and POS systems
- Proven track record in team management and leadership skills
- Experience in hotel or catering operations is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsWe're looking for a high energy, dynamic General Manager to join our rapidly growing team and lead our 98 room extended stay Woodsprings Hotel. As a General Manager, you are a doer with a proven track record of success. You hear a goal and you think 10% above that goal. You expect everyone around you to give 100% every day, and you coach them to victory. You lead from the front, not the desk. You are proactive - looking at occupancy and going out to drive more in. You think about the guest experience 24/7 and teach your staff to do so as well.

The General Manager will be overseeing and involved in all aspects of the daily operations of the Hotel to maintain company standards for guest and employee satisfaction, quality assurance, and asset protection. This individual will demonstrate leadership and a professional demeanor at all times. The General Manager must be flexible with work schedules that is in general a 50 hour work week including nights, weekends and holidays to assure appropriate management coverage. The General Manager is directly responsible for hospitality operations, all sales and marketing, and ensuring all departments of the Hotel are accountable, staffed and covered at all times, as well as coaching and developing Hotel staff.

As a General Manager, you will have responsibility for the performance of your hotel including profit/loss, marketing and sales, guest relations, and employee management and development.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise work at all levels (front desk, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, etc.) and set clear objectives.
  • Motivate, train and develop staff to ensure they meet and exceed guest expectations.
  • Recruit, screen and on-board new employees.
  • Ensure hired staff are qualified and embody the company's mission and values.
  • Know and satisfy the needs of the property owners, the Management Company, associates, and guests bearing in mind these needs are subject to change.
  • Promote and market the business
  • Participate on Revenue Management calls and develop revenue strategy based on market conditions and goals.
  • Leads the sales effort and handles key account contacts in representing the hotel.
  • Manage budget effectively along with achieving revenue and profit goals, balancing cost with guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain statistical and financial records.
  • Plan work schedules for individuals and teams.
  • Provide timely responses to customer complaints and comments. Maintain a Guest Love score at brand requirement level.
  • Supervise maintenance of the Hotel, to include ensuring adequate tools and supplies, overseeing renovations, furnishing changes, interior and exterior cleanliness and landscaping.
  • Ensures that a viable key control program is in place.
  • Maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers.
  • Walks and inspects property several times daily, and enforces the implementation of actions toward the safety, comfort, and cleanliness of the Hotel and guest satisfaction.
  • Meet all Hotel's brand and Company standards and pass all internal and external inspections.
  • Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Skills

  • Proven experience as General Manager or relevant role
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
  • Understanding of all hotel management best practices and relevant laws and guidelines
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and hotel management software (PMS) Choice Max & Choice Central
  • Excellent customer service skills as well as a business mindset
  • Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Reliable with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Outstanding leadership skills and a great attention to detail
  • Degree in Business Administration, Hotel/Hospitality Management or relevant field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
