You may be a fit for PCL’s Area Relief Team. In this position, you get to take the unique gifts, preferences, and needs of each person you support as a guide to how to walk in partnership with the person toward a life of opportunity, well-being, freedom, and contribution. You will be a role model, mentor, and ambassador to the team members you work with and people you support. You get to support people lead self-directed lives while they participate in their communities.
Generally, you will be scheduled to fulfill these hours in the area you are assigned. There may be situations where you are needed outside of your home area. In this position, you would need to be able to cover a variety of shifts. While you would receive your schedule at least two weeks in advance, you may be covering a Live In Position one week, and then an Awake Overnight the next. It is required in this shift to work weekends and days off during the week. You will be on-call for generally one (1) workweek every five (5) weeks. You will be expected to work up to approximately 20 hours of overtime during your on-call week as needed.
You may be providing supports in any of these counties:
– Lane County (Eugene)
– Marion County (Salem, Keizer) (paid travel time when scheduled here)

Job Specific Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age (Diploma/GED not required)
• Be able to regularly lift a minimum of 50 lbs (some shifts require more)
• Must have at least 1 year of employment or volunteer experience with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
• Be able to be certified and maintain an acceptable level of certification in Oregon Intervention System (OIS)
• Be able to be certified and maintain certification in CPR/First aid
• Pass a state/federal Criminal history and protective service investigation check, this may include being fingerprinted
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen for the use of illegal substances in Oregon
• Possess a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record
• Basic computer skills - computer assessment will be administered before hiring

Job Type: Full-Time - This position requires that you be able to work a variety of shifts. Including, but not limited to, swings, awake overnights, and live in positions. (See Shift Types tab for shift descriptions)
Working weekends (Saturday and Sunday) is a requirement for this position. The working location of your schedule is varied. You will receive your schedule at least two weeks in advance from your supervisor. You will also need to provide on-call support for one week every five to seven weeks.

Pay: $21.50 per hour - Some shifts may have added differentials that are applied after all trainings are completed. We are also offering a $1,000 sign on bonus that is paid out in increments at set milestones of your employment!
