Corgan is Hiring a Digital Communications Specialist Near Dallas, TX

We are actively recruiting a Digital Communications Specialist to join our team in Dallas. The ideal candidate is proactive, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented with excellent writing and interpersonal skills. The position supports all Corgan locations and requires frequent collaboration with senior level executives, therefore strong organization, communication, and time management skills are essential. Corgan’s Digital Communication Specialist will be responsible for custom development and amplification of key firm messages and stories across digital platforms including social and earned media, web, blog, and alternative media channels. 

Responsibilities

Overview: 

  • Responsible for supporting communications to create relevant, polished writing, social media, web content, and press materials with a focus on digital channels and tactics including paid and earned media, digital newsroom, multimedia pitches, SEO, etc. 
  • With direction from the Communications Manager, the Digital Communications Specialist will be responsible for holding a firm grasp of key messages and campaigns to creatively identify digital opportunities, develop appropriate strategies, and create high performance content. 
  • Creatively adapt stories across all channels including social media, blogs, web, email, internal SharePoint, podcasts, and creative digital partnerships.
  • Serve as the firm expert on digital platform best practices, emerging tools and trends, algorithms, etc. and win excitement and participation across the firm.
  • Primary point of contact and content creator for web and social media. 

Strategy: 

  • Manage a large volume of stories and work closely with internal teams to build, maintain, and share firm editorial calendar.
  • Build and implement action plans to secure digital placement in online press/trade outlets surrounding key firm stories including project benchmarks, business development, and thought leadership.
  • Organize digital communication assets and manage toolkit for the firm including partnership with graphics and multimedia team (MediaLab) 
  • Maximize channel potential on a range of projects. 
  • Work closely with in-house graphics and multimedia teams to forecast and create compelling content that reflects the firm expertise and differentiates the brand’s thought leadership from competitors in both appearance and functionality. 

Research and Report: 

  • Manage a roster of digital media placements and trade publications and creatively pursue opportunities to curate content for key outlets 
  • Monitor trends, research competitors, and share insights from industry marketing strategies.
  • Track performance and analyze metrics of strategies and content and provide ongoing feedback and recommendation to improve and elevate our approach.

Qualifications

Key qualities include: 

  • Previous experience supporting and growing communications/PR plans 
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to develop and edit communication/PR materials and translate technical information to diverse audiences 
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with good intuition 
  • Deadline driven and a commitment to clear, tangible deliverables.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects/clients and fluidly prioritize workload.
  • Excited about developing interpersonal relationships with internal clients and media to champion investment and enthusiasm for Corgan’s PR goals 
  • Entrepreneurial in spirit and opportunistic about communication tactics and strategies 
  • Avid user of diverse digital platforms including social media and web
  • Experience managing and building an editorial calendar 
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools including GoogleAds, FacebookAds, Business Manager, Googlewords, etc. 
  • Cision or comparable PR software experience preferred 
  • Experience with Drupal and basic HTML knowledge is beneficial 
  • A degree in journalism, communications, or related field is beneficial. Previous experience within architecture/design, construction and commercial real estate industries is desired, but not required. Agency experience is also beneficial.
