Overview:
Texas Oncology is looking for a full-time Senior Internal Communications Specialist to join our team! This is a fully remote position, with occasional travel throughout Texas as needed. Applicants should live in Texas.

What does the Senior Internal Communications Specialist do?
Under general supervision, a s a Senior Internal Communications Specialist, you'll be the heartbeat of our organizational communication strategy. Under general supervision, you'll craft and deploy essential messages our 7,000 dedicated team members through compelling, empathetic, and impactful storytelling, announcements, appeals, and other written and visual communication. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities:
The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to) :
  • Implement comprehensive internal communication plans aligned with Texas Oncology values and strategic goals
  • Craft clear, concise, and engaging content across various platforms, including newsletters, intranet, executive communications, on-site event support, and virtual event planning
  • Interview and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and aligned messaging
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive organizational culture
  • Monitor communication effectiveness and adjust strategies to ensure maximum impact
  • Design infographics, icons, flyers, and other digital graphics
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the position will have the following background and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum three (3) years related experience in communications, preferably in healthcare or similar empathetic-driven industries
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a knack for tailoring messages to diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in communication tools and platforms, especially the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
