Junior Electrical and Instrumentation Designer Job Summary

Junior Electrical and Instrumentation Designer Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of electrical and instrumentation systems for onshore and offshore oil and gas projects.
• Collaborate with senior designers and engineers to create detailed drawings, layouts, and schematics.
• Utilize drafting software, such as AutoCAD, to produce accurate technical drawings and documentation.
• Learn and apply industry standards and best practices for electrical and instrumentation design.
• Support project teams in conducting site surveys, gathering data, and assessing technical requirements.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights and suggestions for process optimization.

Junior Electrical and Instrumentation Designer Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in drafting software, including AutoCAD, with a strong aptitude for learning new design tools.
• Familiarity with design software such as E3D, PDMS, or similar applications is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings and documentation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Adaptability and willingness to work on both onshore and offshore projects as required.
• Prior experience or exposure to the oil and gas industry is a plus.
• Veterans transitioning to civilian careers are encouraged to apply; relevant military experience will be considered.
