Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Hybrid - Bethesda, MD (2 days on-site)
Hourly Rate: $40.00 - $50.00/hour
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire / Direct Hire
Position Overview: As a Senior Accountant with Unanet experience, you will play a pivotal role in our finance team, contributing to the company's financial success and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. You will work closely with our client's accounting and finance professionals, leveraging your expertise in Unanet to streamline processes and support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the Unanet accounting system, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data in Unanet, reconciling accounts, and resolving discrepancies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Generate various financial reports and statements from Unanet to facilitate decision-making.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Provide training and guidance to junior accounting staff on using Unanet effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with Unanet updates and best practices, implementing improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience working with Unanet, with a strong understanding of its functionality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
