Copley Health Systems is Hiring a Human Resources - Generalist Near Morrisville, VT

Overview

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for performing complex human resources duties and coordinating or leading projects in the following functional areas: recruitment/onboarding, compensation review, retention initiatives, employee relations, training, performance management, policy implementation and employment law compliance. Working collaboratively with colleagues, senior administration, and clinical leadership is essential for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform recruitment activities including but not limited to posting positions, processing applications, evaluating and recommending applicants to management, advertising, and follow-up communications with candidates and managers.
  • Performs onboarding activities such as offer letters, pre-employment information, new hire paperwork and new employee orientation.
  • Assists in the determination of staff development programming needs.
  • In-depth understanding and applications of FMLA, LOA, ADA, USERRA and working knowledge of Compensation & Benefits.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Implements HR strategies & programs.
  • Provides explanations and interpretations of Copley Health Systems policies and procedures and state and federal employment laws as they apply to CHSI.
  • Ability to objectively coach and train employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required to assist the department in achieving and maintaining its mission.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of demonstrated experience as a human resources professional, education, certification and training in which the knowledge, skills and abilities required to serve effectively can be transferred to this role.

Experience:

  • Human Resource management experience preferred, with basic understanding and knowledge of legal, legislative, regulatory issues in a rapidly changing, complex environment. 

License and Certification:

  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), and/or SHRM-CP (SHRM Certified Professional) - Preferred
