About the Growth Team

The Growth Marketing Team leads the company's efforts to acquire new eaters across a variety of channels. This is more than the ambition of expanding audiences, increasing traffic and conversion rate whilst keeping CAC low. CookUnity has an incredible chef-driven story to tell—and a mind-blowing, must-taste product to introduce to the world. And because of this, the sky is the limit in crafting an alluring proposition and leveraging magnetic content. We have an incredible mission, as a marketing team, to not simply shake up the known Weekly Meal Plans and On-Demand Food Delivery categories, but usher in a new era of the chef-centric marketplace.

About the Role

Our ideal candidate will lead our current and future channel growth strategy and management to scale customer acquisition across digital and offline channels. As the Director of Performance Marketing at CookUnity, you will play a pivotal role in scaling and accelerating user acquisition, particularly among the right customer segments, while maintaining efficient CACs. S/he will develop and deliver upon data and insight-driven performance marketing plans and manage a cross-functional team of growth specialists across broadcast media, digital and offline growth as well as CRO and audience management.

We now want to leverage this differentiation to create unique marketing funnels that cater to various segments of food enthusiasts seeking a superior, effortless dining experience. The ideal candidate is a marketing expert who excels in creating experimentation frameworks, enabling supply-demand optimization through content experimentation, and the creation of numerous landing pages. They should have a customer-centric approach and a track record of transforming marketing performance data into actionable insights.

This role reports directly to the VP of Growth and involves close collaboration with CRM, Performance Creative, Branding, as well as cross-functional teamwork with Product, Tech, and Design teams.

Responsibilities: 

  • Strategically grow and optimize all online acquisition channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube, and Pinterest.
  • A member of the growth leadership team and sparring partner for the VP of Growth Marketing
  • Managing a multimillion-dollar budget across channels, discounts and pricing to drive customer and revenue growth 
  • Optimizing and integrating channel operations and leading, coaching and assisting a growing team of marketing experts
  • Shaping and driving our businesses and continuing to expand our market position as the chef-to-you food solutions provider 
  • Define the performance marketing and upper funnel strategy & positioning, business plans, budgets and structures for the performance marketing department that get us to the next level of high-quality and sustainable growth 
  • Design, manage, control and optimize all our marketing activities and budgets across all marketing channels from acquisition/performance/TV to creatives optimization, landing page and conversion rate optimization
  • Define and ensure customer-centric BI, data and channel set-up to further automate Marketing and tailor messages 
  • Develop, constantly test and scale innovative marketing campaigns and channels
  • Leverage data and insights to develop a deeper understanding of the target customer and identify and diligently manage KPIs to constantly generate impact
  • Hire, train and mentor a world-class, high-performing team in-house and flexibly leverage top-notch external partners to achieve best-in-class success and business results

Qualifications

  • 10 years of relevant work experience in online DTC marketing with high-growth consumer-facing companies.
  • A Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record and/or proven relevant experience in a performance marketing or highly commercial role
  • Hands-on experience launching and optimizing platform performance from Meta to Google ad products
  • Outstanding degree in a marketing or tech-related subject (e.g. AdTech, Data Science, Engineering, economics, marketing, business) 
  • You generated outstanding results with respect to both qualitative (e.g., branding, design, campaign creatives) and quantitative (e.g., performance, attribution, LTV) marketing challenges
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks simultaneously, structure and prioritize adequately for you and your teams to maximize business impact in a fast-paced, highly agile and consumer-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to lead and manage innovative and effective marketing programs that generate results, covering all major digital and offline marketing channels 
  • Extremely analytical and data-driven marketer who can manage various channels, drive traffic and transactions. 
  • Excellent leadership skills that help attract and develop outstanding marketing talent, challenge people to excel and elicit their sustained high performance - a great team player and fun to work with 
  • Experience in managing large marketing budgets
