Ministry Function

The Internal Communications Manager supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by leading the internal communication strategy, philosophy, and content creation for Convoy’s U.S. and global team members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Works with the Content Director, Vice President of Communications, and other key departmental figures within the organization to coordinate content, create processes for, and develop strategies for internal communications.
• Creates/updates content and provides guidance on the creation of internal communication That may include but is not limited to staff emails, text messages, updating the Team Resources Page, and digital signage.
• Manages the content and updates on the screens at the Global Headquarters & Training Center property in Springfield, Missouri.
• As needed, assists other members of the Marketing & Communications Content Team in writing and editing projects.
• Works with members of the Marketing & Communications team on projects related to internal communication.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, or equivalent experience is
• More than 2 years of experience working in project management, writing, and/or a related field is required.
• Can facilitate communication across all project phases and proactively alert management of changes.
• Demonstrates proven time management and project management skills.
• Possesses strong communication skills and can easily build relationships with various types of people in their work Positively contributes to team projects and cooperates with other team members.
• Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
• Proven aptitude in with dealing with various forms of software applications.
• Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
• Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
• As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that each staff member embraces the organization's religious purposes for which it exists and not only agrees with its Statement of Faith but demonstrates it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
