Ministry Function:

The Gate Attendant supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by professionally welcoming all guests to our Global Headquarters and assuring guests are quickly vetted for appropriate entrance to the campus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for being the first point of contact for all individuals entering the Convoy of Hope Global Headquarters campus and assures guests receive a professional and friendly welcome.
2. Assures guests receive a professional and friendly welcome and are appropriately vetted for entrance onto campus grounds.
3. Notifies front desk greeters of guests coming into the GHQ.
4. Provides additional support for the administration team including but not limited to: facilities, front desk, and the administration director.
5. Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting the entrance gate building daily.
6. Communicates with global security regarding any concerns noted as guests enter campus grounds.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Bachelor’s degree preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required.
2. 2 years Customer Service experience required.
3. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills for positively and professionally representing Convoy of Hope to all guests.
4. Ability and willingness to work in a team environment and share responsibilities as needed.
5. Must be a self-starter, motivated, and punctual.
6. Ability to make independent decisions on guests who should be on campus, after receiving appropriate training.
7. Ability to use a PC/Mac and software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook/GMail, Google products, Word.
8. Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
9. Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
10. Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
11. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization's religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
