With a mission to make people feel confident about their skin and look great, Dr. Timothy Jochen started Contour Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery Center in 2001. We have three locations in the Coachella Valley, including Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, and La Quinta. During the year 2022, we expanded into Loma Linda in order to be able to serve patients living in the San Bernardino area. Our practice(s) specialize in Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology, offering a variety of treatments. In addition to offering the most advanced treatment options and the latest technologies for our patients, we are committed to helping them look and feel beautiful.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma
• Certified Medical Assistant certificate required within 90 days of hire
• BLS / CPR Certification
• 1-2 Years MA Experience (preferred)
• 1 Year Customer Service

TYPICAL SCHEDULE:

• Needs to be available Sunday-Saturday
• Scheduled 8 Hour Shifts Five days a week
• Shifts range between 6:00AM – 6:00PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include (but not limited to) the following:

• The ability to maintain a positive, upbeat attitude, to promote and exemplify company values, and to represent the department's interests to both internal and external customers.

• Respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner; follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns
• Build and promote teamwork and collaboration among the team
• Maintain a safe work environment and take all company-provided safety training.
• Assesses patients' medical history, measures vital signs, weight, and height, and prepares them for examination procedures, such as escorting them to examination rooms.
• Assist providers with medical and cosmetic surgical procedures. This includes pre-procedure care, assistance during procedure, and post-procedure care. Provide assistance to patients, doctors, and pharmacists by taking messages and returning calls.
• Support medical providers by preparing instruments and materials, shaving the treatment area and disinfecting it before and after procedures
• Provide triage and processing of patient, front office, and provider messages
• An understanding of the services, treatments, and medications provided by all of our providers, both cosmetic and medical
• Ensure that the provider's physical exam and treatment plan are documented in the patient's chart, and that prescriptions are sent through the E-RX system in a timely manner
• Maintain medical supplies in exam rooms, sterilize instruments as necessary, and keep supplies stocked
• Performing all other duties as assigned by the Back Office Manager, Office Manager, Medical Director or Executive Director.
