About the Position:
The HR Generalist plays a crucial role as the primary point-of-contact for our multiple clients and worksite employees, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment/labor laws. This position involves a combination of administrative and strategic responsibilities, contributing to staffing, training and development, compensation, payroll, benefits administration, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a Human Resource advisor to clients on various HR matters, including employee relations, performance expectations, progressive discipline, employment handbooks, leaves of absence, FMLA, Wage and Hour laws, payroll time & attendance issues, discrimination, sexual harassment investigations, and employee terminations.
  • Support clients with benefits administration, handling inquiries, coordinating open enrollment meetings, and processing enrollments/changes.
  • Serve as a liaison with assigned client executives and managers, resolving HR issues, ensuring labor law compliance, managing unemployment and employee benefit issues.
  • Visit client sites (virtual and in-person) to exceed client requirements, strengthen relations, and troubleshoot problems.
  • Monitor and stay current on HR/employment-related rules, regulations, and laws, attending HR meetings and workshops.
  • Ensure ongoing client satisfaction by monitoring service and product delivery.
  • Establish and maintain positive client relationships, contributing to high client retention rates.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role
  • Experience in providing HR support to multiple locations in various industries
  • Multi-state employment law knowledge/experience
  • PEO/human resources outsourcing experience is a plus
  • Union experience is a plus
