ConMed Corporation is Hiring a Senior Logistics Specialist Near Atlanta, GA
As a Senior Logistics Specialist at CONMED you will be the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for transportation for all 3 Domestic Manufacturing and Distribution Sites: Utica, NY, Lithia Springs, GA & Largo, FL. You will be responsible for coordinating all shipments across all modes that touch these three sites in any capacity: PFG, OEM, Raw Materials, Returns, Repairs, etc. This includes carrier management, network coordination and cost savings initiatives. You will work with carrier partners to ensure timely deliveries of finished goods to these three CONMED sites as well as to customers. You will support the transportation of raw materials from suppliers across the globe. You will escalate issues with all partners, internal and external, to ensure the smooth flow of product through CONMED’s global supply chain. In this role, you will report directly into the Senior Manager, Global Logistics & Trade Compliance. Job Responsibilities: Execute CONMED transportation strategy to include management of inbound and outbound lanes for Atlanta, Largo or Utica. With the Logistics Team, help to manage network of 15 carrier partners servicing 6 continents across all shipments modes, FCL, LCL, FTL, LTL, Parcel, International Manage CONMED shipment network day-to-day, including holding carrier partners accountable for On Time Delivery and other KPIs, and resolving ad-hoc issues in a timely and efficient manner. Route freight (all modes) according to site specific needs, timelines, and commitments to customers Work cross functionally with Trade Compliance to ensure adherence to international commerce laws and regulations. Cadenced analytics relating to CONMED Global Shipment network designed to highlight network strengths and pinpoint cost saving opportunities. Routine review of current trade lanes and assessment of consolidation, cost saving or new carrier opportunities. Manage 3P freight audit firm SLA and deliverables. Timely review of Carrier Invoices for accuracy and adherence to contractual rates and accessorials Identify and spearhead initiatives to reduce freights costs and create efficiencies within the global network. Work cross functionally to develop strong partnerships with Operational peers including but not limited to Customer Experience, Distribution, Manufacturing, S&OP, Sterilization, Commercial Proactively research and report on trends and industry changes and make recommendations. Manage Logistics for multi-site Sterilization Program for inbound materials to Lithia Springs DC Perform other tasks as assigned by the Transportation Manager. Be present on site at CONMED Lithia Springs DC for critical shipment times, EOM/Q Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 5-7 years of Supply Chain, Global Logistics, or Transportation experience - all modes of transportation, domestic and international. Preferred Qualifications: Prior medical device experience Certificate in logistics management or Logistics, Transportation and Distribution from ASCM ERP, WMS, Software Implementation, Change Management and Project Management experience Benefits: CONMED offers a wide array of benefits to fit your unique needs.
