Congregation Shearith Israel is a synagogue in North Dallas with a building of 95,000 square feet on a property of 14 acres. We are seeking a full-time staff person to add to our Maintenance Department to assist with building/ground maintenance and repair. This person will work directly under the Facilities Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Assist Facilities Manager with all facility systems used for operations and grounds.

· Maintain schedule for certain routine maintenance functions, such as light bulb replacement and playground clean up, to keep the property in working order.

· Make repairs as needed, including patching, painting, plumbing, and mechanical issues.

· Assist on occasion with special event set up or other duties as assigned.

Primary Attributes:

· A minimum of two years’ experience in building/ground maintenance and repair.

· Must be mechanically inclined with the ability to do some carpentry functions.

· Punctual and trustworthy person of integrity.

· Strong work ethic.

· Positive attitude and team player.

· Committed to high quality customer service.

· Supports mission, vision, and core values of the synagogue.

· Willing to work flexible and shifting weekly schedule to accommodate events at synagogue that is open every day of the week.
