A fast-growing food manufacturing company is looking for an experienced full-time, Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. The qualified candidate will be responsible for daily equipment set up and changeovers along with troubleshooting and repairing of processing equipment such as pumps, conveyors, steam processing equipment, filling, capping, labeling, detection, and vision systems, tray and case packaging equipment along with process control and integration equipment. Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled. Fabricate and install support items as needed.
Able to support infrastructure equipment such as boilers, air compressors, electrical services, water, and process waste systems. Operate process equipment as required. Preferred experience in mechanical repair, welding – MIG/TIG, working with electric motors, electrical repair 120, 230, and 480 v services, pneumatics, understanding process controls, diagnosis and repair of equipment such as PLC, HMI, motor drives, and drive cards, control panels and circuitry.
Additional experience in control logic a plus but not required. The qualified candidate will be expected to perform as part of the operations “team” by working cross-functionally with other departments and management to achieve company goals. Take ownership for team members’ safety and good working environment. It is necessary that the candidate is able to communicate and express ideas and explanations to team members in a multi-cultural workforce.
Saturday work is required (every other weekend).
Must be willing to do simple tasks at times, like changing light bulbs.
1-2 years of experience is a plus.
