About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Finance and Operations to join its Senior Leadership team. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader, playing a pivotal role in guiding the institution through change and new opportunities. This executive will be responsible for managing a complex portfolio of financial and administrative resources, serving as the chief financial, administrative, and operations officer. Key duties include keeping the President and Board of Trustees informed on financial matters, ensuring accurate financial reporting, leading multi-year financial and operational planning, and supervising various operational functions. The role requires a strategic thought partner with exceptional analytical, quantitative, and financial acumen, as well as the ability to engage in decision-making processes and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Candidates for this role must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in business management, finance, or a related field, with a preference for a master's degree and CPA certification. A strong business background with at least 10 years of strategic leadership in financial planning and management within a complex organization is essential. The VPFO will also be expected to have excellent knowledge of higher education practices and fiscal compliance issues. The position demands superior interpersonal communication, organizational, and time management skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a collegial manner. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a persistent and determined approach to decision-making.
