About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Client Development for their B2B marketing technology SaaS platform, which is a leading solution for e-commerce acceleration and provides analytics and e-commerce enablement software to enhance online consumer understanding and drive sales. The successful candidate will be the commercial leader, managing a team of account managers to ensure superior customer experiences, drive retention, and foster growth with Fortune 1000 brand partners. This role involves motivating and leading a distributed team, maintaining and expanding customer relationships, and guiding the team in the renewal sales process. The VP will also be responsible for aligning the company's solutions with customer objectives, overseeing the renewal team's pipeline, and identifying expansion opportunities.Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of SaaS sales management experience, with a proven track record of early renewal processes and customer retention. Experience in a SaaS startup environment, particularly with consumer brands and marketing, digital commerce, and IT contact personas, is essential. The role requires proficiency in Salesforce, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage a sizable global team. The ideal candidate will be adept at negotiating and closing complex renewals, understanding competitive market conditions, and forecasting trends. A strategic, team-oriented approach with a strong customer focus is necessary, as is the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
