SVP Sales & Business Development

Job Summary:

As we continue to expand our footprint and enhance our offerings, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic SVP of Sales and Business Development to lead our revenue generation efforts and drive growth through strategic business development deals and sales force optimization. Reporting to the CEO and part of the executive leadership team, you will be instrumental in shaping our revenue strategy, management/performance/ accountability of all sales personnel (national, regional and local) and forging strategic partnerships. You will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, expanding our market presence and sales strategy, act as voice of customer, and solidifying our position as a leader in the place based media/healthcare media/retail media. This position offers flexible work arrangements, allowing you to work remotely or from our Naperville, Illinois, Indianapolis, Indiana, or Oakland, CA office. Extensive travel, up to 30%, will be required throughout the year.

Essential Functions:

1.Develop and Execute Revenue Strategy : Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive revenue generation strategy aligned with our business objectives and targets. Identify new revenue streams, market opportunities, and growth initiatives to drive sustainable revenue growth in both the static and digital advertising space.

2.Secure Strategic Business Development Deals : Negotiate and close high-value deals with key clients, advertisers, and agencies to secure long-term partnerships and premium placements. Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, alliances, and business development opportunities that enhance our market position and drive revenue growth.

3.Optimize our sales force, overseeing people management of National Sales team and Local Sales team , dispersed across the US (combination of office and remote workers):

Lead and develop the teams, fostering collaboration while respecting their unique approaches.

Develop and implement sales strategies, processes, and training programs to optimize their productivity and effectiveness.

Build a culture of accountability and high performance.

Influence/collaborate and bring value with respect to strategic revenue operations decisions and execution including 2nd chance, e-mail cadences, and more.

Influence/collaborate and bring value with respect to lead gen unit economics and optimization

Work with marketing to ensure our products positioned the right way to the right clusters of clients, prospects

4.Drive Revenue Growth :

Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and finance teams to develop integrated revenue generation plans.

Monitor key performance metrics, analyze sales data, and track progress against targets to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous revenue growth.

5.Cultivate client relationships, partnering with customer success team :

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in both National and Local markets, understanding their needs and objectives to deliver tailored solutions.

Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, leveraging industry insights and market trends to drive mutual success.

Collaborate with customer success to ensure post campaign reporting contains data sufficient to secure renewals.

6.Partner with Sales Operations and Enablement to enable technology and processes for the Sales team :

Champion and implement efficient sales processes, tools, and systems to improve sales efficiency and effectiveness.

Identify and implement best practices in sales enablement to ensure the continuous learning and development of the sales team partnering with the Sales Operations team

7.Stay Ahead of Industry Trends :

Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape to identify emerging opportunities and threats.

Anticipate market shifts and proactively adapt revenue strategies to capitalize on new trends, technologies, and customer preferences.

Minimum Required Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Proven track record of success in revenue generation, business development, and sales leadership roles within the outdoor advertising or media industry. A minimum of 3-5 years in a sales leadership position and 8 years of total selling and/or business development experience is required.

Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to close complex, high-value deals with strategic partners and clients.

Physical Requirements:

This is a stationary position, with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.

This position will require prolonged periods of operating a computer/keyboard/mouse/monitor and other office productivity machinery such as a copy machine, computer printer, and telephone.

The person in this position must occasionally move about the office to access office machinery or attend meetings.

Work is performed in a temperature-controlled environment, but employee may be required to travel to off-site meetings for business purposes.
