We are looking for an energetic, handy person who can push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Electrical, Carpentry, Construction, HVAC, Maintenance background/certifications are preferred. Previous maintenance candidates are strongly urged to apply.

As engineer of the hotel you will be responsible for the daily maintenance of the hotel; ensuring that the condition of the guestrooms, interior, exterior, and all public areas of the hotel are safe, in well condition, and exceed our guests' expectations.

Essential duties including but not limited to:

Ensures the standards are followed and maintained within the department
Ensures building code and quality standards at department levels
Monitors equipment and special preventative maintenance standards to ensure quality product
Fixes/Repairs/Addresses any conditional issues found in the hotel including but not limited to: fixing door locks, wallpapering, painting, replacing toilet/sink/shower parts, repairing/staining furniture, replacing chipped tiles, spackling, repair/replace HVAC units,
Assist the kitchen staff with deep cleaning
Unload and put away food/supply orders
Spring/Fall exterior landscaping
Snow removal/overnight shifts at the hotel during snowstorms to ensure safety of the guests and our hotel
Oversee the functionality and safety of the hotel, including the physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and heating and cooling systems.
Leads, conducts, and completes the execution of major projects and repairs.
Conducts fire/sprinkler/emergency/elevator/property awareness training for other departments of the hotel
Prepares hotel for Quality Assurance inspections and fixes/addresses all issues as indicated by the QA improvement planner
Other projects as assigned by management
Must have reliable transportation Must be able to lift 50 pounds and move heavy objects
Must be able to come to the hotel in emergencies including weekends when necessary
Must answer phone calls from management promptly when off property
Must possess a positive attitude and maintain a courteous attitude with co-workers and guests
Must wear hotel provided uniform Must have basic knowledge of hvac, electrical, and plumbing
Only qualified experienced candidates will be considered for the position. You must have a reliable car to get you to and from work.
