Overview:
As a Lead Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in the efficient functioning of the warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily activities, managing a team of warehouse associates, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of inventory movements, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You will collaborate with warehouse management to achieve operational goals and maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership:
• Supervise and lead a team of warehouse associates.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.
• Schedule and assign tasks to ensure smooth workflow and optimum productivity.
• Motivate and inspire the team to achieve performance targets.
• Inventory Management:
• Oversee the receiving, storing, and shipping of products.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in full physical inventories.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed.
• Operational Efficiency:
• Collaborate with warehouse management to implement and improve operational procedures.
• Streamline processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Optimize space utilization within the warehouse.
• Implement best practices for warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Quality Control:
• Enforce quality control standards for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure products meet established quality criteria.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory and shipments.
• Safety Compliance:
• Uphold and enforce safety regulations and protocols.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.
• Address and report any safety concerns promptly.
• Communication:
• Maintain effective communication with warehouse staff and management.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
• Report on key performance indicators and operational metrics.
• Equipment Maintenance:
• Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment.
• Coordinate repairs and servicing as needed.
• Train associates on the safe and efficient use of equipment.
• Customer Service:
• Work closely with customer service to fulfill orders accurately and promptly.
• Address customer inquiries and issues related to warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
• Proven experience in a warehouse setting, with at least [X years] in a leadership or supervisory role.
