Private residence in Miami Beach seeks a Groundskeeper with experience at formal households. (50% Grounds/Garden - 50% Maintenance). This is a full-time permanent position working Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.

The ideal candidate has experience maintaining a large property with many different varieties of exotic trees and plants. The candidate will be hands-on, works well in a team role, takes pride in doing the job the right way the first time, have a professional appearance and demeanor, and a positive attitude. They must be able to follow instructions and efficiently complete tasks as directed, while keeping tools and workspace tidy and organized.

In addition to mowing, weeding, trimming, pruning, and watering, the Groundskeeper is responsible to ensure the grounds, driveway, dock, workspaces, outdoor furniture, porches, windows, and garages are kept in an impeccable state with an exceptional attention to details. The groundskeeper will also be responsible to keep the property free from debris, litter, and pests. The Groundkeeper will assist with irrigation system maintenance and repairs, and maintain inventory of supplies and report any equipment issues or needs.

Washing of vehicles, including the boat, is also the responsibility of the Groundskeeper.

The Groundskeeper should enjoy working outside during all seasons, during high heat or wind and rain. Be in good general health and physical condition, ability and experience climbing ladders, and be able to lift 50 pounds.

The position is scheduled Monday through Friday but will require work on an occasional Saturday or Sunday for event set up. There may also be occasional travel to another property, possibly overnight.

Knowledge and experience with exotic tropical plants and trees and associated pests would be preferred.

Job Requirements

· Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience working at formal private properties filling a similar role.

· Punctual and dedicated.

· Proactive, keen attention to detail, anticipating needs of the principals.

· Proficiency in operating, servicing, and maintaining landscaping tools and equipment.

· Experience working with fine art a plus.

· Active and in good general health and physical condition.

· Ability and experience climbing ladders.

· Be able to lift 50 pounds.

· Verifiable references and comprehensive background check are required.

· Ability to read and write in English, including strong verbal communication skills.

· Must be reliable and possess dependable transportation to and from work.

· Valid Driver’s License and valid US work authorization.

The position includes 15 days of paid time off and medical premium reimbursement.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
