Confidential is Hiring a Global Director, Cyber Security Policy Near Washington, DC

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cybersecurity policy advocacy strategy worldwide to advance Intel's policy positions and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Utilize existing network for policy engagement with governments and establish strong relationships with key policymakers.
  • Collaborate with country/regional Government Affairs teams on government engagement strategies to advance Intel's cybersecurity policy priorities globally.
  • Articulate a clear vision for cybersecurity policy, drafting consultation responses and briefing documents.
  • Facilitate high-level meetings with stakeholders to promote Intel's cybersecurity policy priorities.
  • Represent Intel before governmental bodies, institutions, and industry associations on cybersecurity policy.
  • Lead Intel's strategy for external ecosystem engagement regarding cybersecurity policy with trade associations, standards bodies, and industry groups.
  • Lead internal stakeholder engagement, collaborating with Intel's cybersecurity leadership to align internal programs with evolving government laws, regulations, and standards.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess The Following:

  • Deep expertise in cybersecurity policy.
  • Proven experience in policy advocacy.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic advocacy campaigns.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, analytical, and strategic skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.
  • Clear reputation for ethical conduct and integrity.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in relevant field.
  • 7-10 years of work experience focusing on cybersecurity policy.
  • Experience in national/regional government institutions, IT sector, or relevant industry.
  • Travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous high-tech industry experience.
  • Experience representing a large manufacturer or technology company.
  • Proven track record of leading and influencing regulatory processes.
