This role is crucial in ensuring our residents receive nutritious, delicious, and high-quality meals that cater to a variety of dietary needs and preferences.

Job Summary:
As the Food and Beverage Director, you will lead and manage all aspects of the food service and dining experience in our community. This includes menu planning, food preparation, budget management, staff training, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a dining experience that feels like home for our residents, promoting their health, happiness, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement creative and nutritious menus, taking into consideration the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Manage the food and beverage budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Lead, train, and manage kitchen and dining room staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with the management team and staff across departments to ensure a seamless, positive experience for our residents.
  • Organize special events and themed dinners that engage and delight our community.
  • Conduct regular meetings with residents and their families to receive feedback and suggestions for improving the dining experience.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Food and Beverage Director or similar role, preferably in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality environment.
  • Culinary degree or related certifications highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and budgeting skills.
  • A passion for serving the senior community with a commitment to enhancing their quality of life.
  • Knowledge of dietary needs specific to seniors is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Current food safety certification.
