Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. You will work closely with the dentist and dental team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the dental office. Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments - Take and develop dental x-rays - Perform dental charting and documentation - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality - Schedule patient appointments and manage the front desk when needed Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assistant program - Knowledge of dental systems, infection control, and aseptic technique - Strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology - Proficient in dental assisting procedures - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy - Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus - Knowledge of medical coding and documentation is beneficial - Ability to operate medical imaging equipment is preferred We offer competitive compensation and benefits package for our Dental Assistants.
