About Us

Legacy Dental is a reputable dental practice in Midtown Atlanta, dedicated to providing top-notch oral healthcare services to our patients. We pride ourselves on our caring and professional approach, and we have built a strong relationship with our long-standing patients over the years.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a competent, friendly, and experienced dental assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate would have a positive attitude, a caring personality, and a passion for providing excellent customer service. As a dental assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dentists and ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare customers for treatments and ensuring their comfort
  • Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed
  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations
  • Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
  • Undertake lab tasks as instructed
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
  • Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
  • Schedule appointments
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Stay organized with all that is needed for patient care, including the ordering of supplies

Requirements

  • Experience as a dental assistant (2 years preferred)
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations as well as HIPPA compliance
  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Well-organized and reliable
  • Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)

Additional Information

Cross-training with front office knowledge is a major plus.
The ideal candidate should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations.

We prefer candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience to smoothly transition into a busy schedule.
