Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller with an understanding of Medicare and Medicaid healthcare programs to join our team. As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in financial management, double entry bookkeeping, and is familiar with various accounting software systems.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Monitor cash flow and manage budgeting processes
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, or a related industry
- Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Quickbooks Online
- Excellent understanding of GAAP
- Experience in financial report writing and analysis
- Solid understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
