We are looking for a Controller to organize and coordinate administration duties and office procedures. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety. Your duties would include bookkeeping in QB and business paperwork such as insurance, permits, registrations. Our ideal candidate will have experience with full-charge bookkeeping and financial data in the construction industry. This person will ensure job costs are accurate, oversee all financial transactions for the company, help prepare budgets, handle AP/AR, payroll, bank/CC reconciliation, and liens/waivers.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
  • Good overall computer and typing skills a must
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Construction background with recent, similar previous experience with bookkeeping required
  • College degree in business/accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, and credit card reconciliation
  • Financial reporting to CEO
  • Accounting compliance
  • Keep the department “audit ready” for GL/WC insurance audits
  • Oversee proper cash control and make bank deposits
  • Assist with yearly budgets
  • Receive, approve, decline vendor invoices
  • Pay bills, maintain GL
  • Invoice customers, keep track of receivables and receive payments
  • Fully versed in Florida Construction Lien Law
  • Ensure HR compliance
  • Maintain office supplies, a clean office environment

Pay: From $95,000.00 per year
