The Construction Superintendent is key in ensuring the successful day-to-day management of construction projects. This role demands a commitment to delivering exceptional service quality while engaging with customers, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and the internal team. The goal is to fulfill the company's commitment to top-tier construction services.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

Construction Management:

  • Coordinate the scheduling of all subcontractors and material suppliers.
  • Ensure that all work adheres to project plans, specifications, local codes, and the outlined scope of work.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all project activities.
  • Manage and execute change orders effectively.

Project Communication:

  • Lead pre-construction meetings with clients.
  • Provide regular project updates to clients and stakeholders, including a daily narrative.

Subcontractor/Resource Provider Management:

  • Set clear expectations for each project.
  • Uphold quality standards through regular site inspections.
  • Evaluate and rate vendors and subcontractors, providing feedback.
  • Coordinate inspections with local authorities.

Cost Control and Schedule Adherence:

  • Verify that material suppliers deliver what was agreed upon.
  • Ensure subcontractors fulfill their work according to their contracts.
  • Monitor and validate project schedule and progress.
  • Identify tasks outside the contracted scope of work and take appropriate action.

General:

  • Understand and be prepared to undertake all responsibilities of a Construction Coordinator when needed.

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Address and rectify any issues listed on the punch list.
  • Conduct a thorough final walkthrough with the client.
  • Obtain a signed Completion of Completion and Certificate of Satisfaction from the client.

Necessary Experience and Skill Set:

  • Prior experience in construction and/or restoration is preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Basic mathematical competency.
  • Xactimate proficiency.

Compensation:

  • $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year, depending on experience
