A local, growing company of 20 years is seeking a Catering Manager to help grow the department.

The vast majority of company catering is deemed "drop and go", quick service style catering. We deliver those orders to a client, set it up buffet style with all disposable materials and leave w/out serving. The company does periodic on-site events as well (with servers).

MANAGER ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Oversight of catering team

• Hiring, training, & scheduling of catering team, including event staff when applicable
• Accurate execution of catering orders and events
• Includes taking responsibility of all event sales opportunities
• Attends client meetings when appropriate to ensure understanding of scope of event
• Communicates with event BOH team to ensure success
• Assists with inventory for catering orders and event specific items
• Seeking out new clients through canvassing or cold calling

CATERING MANAGER JOB DETAILS

• Maintains a positive presence throughout the organization, including within the catering department and on-site at events, while serving as a positive ambassador and role model of the Couch Tomato Catering team's vision and standards.
• Ensures a superior hospitality experience for all guests. Consistently identifies, implements and reinforces Couch Tomato Catering operational standards, policies, procedures and practices to ensure a superior guest experience.
• Establishes and implements strategies and tactics to ensure a continuous improvement cycle in guest and employee satisfaction, revenue performance, operating efficiency and profitability.
• Takes appropriate corrective action when necessary. Ensures the successful training and development of all employees, ensuring the highest standards of cuisine, guest service and hospitality
• Facilitates the establishment and achievement of all operating and company objectives including guest satisfaction, & employee engagement
• Develops revenue and sales building strategies to ensure a continuous improvement cycle in restaurant catering sales performance. Establishes and implements marketing and sales tactics for achievement of revenue goals and growth.
• Maintains physical department cleanliness, sanitation, and repair. Ensures the accurate identification and prioritization of all facilities related issues, Health department compliance, repair and maintenance needs and capital expenditures.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years catering coordination experience, preferably at a high volume event or catering facility PREFERRED
• 2 years leadership or managerial experience PREFERRED
• Word processing proficiency required
• Performs administrative tasks as necessary.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to establish guest service, satisfaction and loyalty through superior guest service.
• Ability to resolve guest comments or complaints when necessary with a sense of urgency, poise, professionalism, and good judgment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal, written and via email.

SALARY AND COMPENSATION

• $25/hr to start, based on roughly 40 hours per week, plus average bonus equates to over $60,000 per year
