Job Summary:
Establish priorities on all scheduled, unscheduled and/or emergency service calls based on need and maintenance customer commitments. Dispatch service technicians with sufficient skill levels required. Plan and prioritize schedule of Preventative Maintenance agreements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Implement daily, weekly and monthly work schedules based on planned service department activity as it applies to necessary LOE (level of effort) when dispatching technicians.
2. Assure that customer commitments are met and that changes in schedules are communicated to the customer promptly.
3. Dispatch service technicians in such a way as to minimize travel and non-productive time while maximizing response time for the customer.
4. Manage and maintain the service software system.
5. Participate in monthly manpower planning sessions and inform the Service Manager of potential problems or conflicts. Identify manpower shortages due to training, vacations, and backlog of incomplete service calls.
6. Maintain current credit information. Obtain credit approval prior to doing work for new customers.
7. Inform all customers prior to dispatching of payment process.
Education Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
12 months

2. Understand problems in order to make judgments regarding serviceman skills and assignments.
3. Problem solving skills that enable the ability to avoid conflicts and delays.
4. Ability to repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure.
